Switch tabs all you like — the time stays right
Most people have had a web timer drift while they worked in another tab. Browsers deliberately slow down repeating work in background tabs to save battery, and a timer built by subtracting one second at a time quietly falls behind every time that happens.
EazyTimer does not count down. It records the moment the timer ends, then derives the remaining time from the gap between that moment and now, every time it draws. Leave the tab for hours, use other applications, let the machine sleep and wake — the arithmetic is the same and the result stays exact.
Four tools
The timer counts down a duration and rings. The lengths people reach for most have their own preset pages, so a 3-minute or 25-minute timer starts in one click. The stopwatch does the opposite — measuring elapsed time to a hundredth of a second, with laps.
The pomodoro timer alternates focus and break automatically and counts the rounds you complete. The alarm clock rings at a time of day rather than after a duration. All four go fullscreen, which is what makes them usable on a classroom or meeting-room display.
Two things worth knowing about the alarm
The alarm is synthesised by the browser on the spot rather than played from an audio file. Nothing has to download, so it rings instantly and the page stays light. Browser autoplay rules mean the sound needs one deliberate user action before it is allowed to play — pressing Start provides it, so nothing extra is required of you.
The one real limitation: this timer needs its browser tab to stay open. Close the tab or quit the browser and no alarm will sound. If you are relying on it to wake you up, set a phone alarm as well.

- Does it stay accurate while I work in another tab?
- Yes. Timing is derived from a fixed end moment, so backgrounding the tab causes no drift. The tab title counts down too, so you can read it straight from your tab strip.
- Can I stop the screen turning off while a timer runs?
- Screen sleep is held off automatically for as long as a timer is running, so cooking and workout timers stay visible without you changing any settings.
- What if my computer goes to sleep?
- The remaining time is correct the moment it wakes. No sound plays while the machine is asleep, though, so if the timer expired during that period you will find out on waking.
- Do I need an account or an install?
- Neither. Open the page and it works. There is no sign-up, no payment, and no ad-free paid tier.
